Book condition - G+, contents generally clean with the occasional title page being somewhat dusty, very occasional and light foxing, previous owners signatures on front flyleaf and occasionally on title pages - Thomas Hughes and J. R. Jones (1874) - also a small card affixed inside front board with the inscription "To our dear 'PIE', with love and gratitude from Olga and Walt ' , very occasional pencil mark in text , binding firm with inner hinges intact, final sermon section has small area at bottom inner corner which is browned (scorched ?) which affects paper structure and with some small losses but text not affected. Leather (calf ?) spine and corners with blind lines and central motif in spine panels and black title label with title and patterned lines at top and bottom in gilt ; corners somewhat bent but intact, corner leather is rubbed but still has good structure and appearance, back is clean with good surface to marbled paper with just a very small piece of loss near bottom corner, spine is complete and in good condt.
