Printed by James Robins and Company. Not dated but circa 1825. First printed by James Stratford, 1810. Volume Four ONLY. 8vo. Bound in full leather with gilt decoration of the boards. 579pp.Index, viii. Covering the Westminster, Covent Garden, Middlesex, including Hanover Square and Shoreditch. London Docks, Southwark including Bank Side, Pagination issue with four groups of pages, where the pages and text do follow and make sense but the page numbers are wrong. Towards end of book title Appendix are costumes, the pagination has a lot of errors but appears to follow text and appears not to be no missing any pages. This volume has an engraved frontis facing title page, engraved title page, both of which are stained, thirty-one copper engravings, some of costume design, plus 16 pages of wood engravings showing different coats of arms for the trades, plus wood cuts of churches within text. I am assuming this is complete. I have collated the book and the pages are complete. (Using the web site Jsic, the Stratford version has thirty-three engraved plates, one of which is folded. Page numbers exactly the same. Unfortunately details regarding collation for this volume is not available.) Both boards are detached, spine holding but the leather has disintegrated on the spine. Inside generally clean with some light foxing and discolouration from age, some plates have foxing issue, but not all. Scarce. Size 21.5 x 14cm (8.5 x 5.5 inches). N° de ref. del artículo 60002569
