8vo. Burgundy paper over boards, dust jacket. xxii, 863pp. Very good/very good. Jacket rather edgeworn and age toned, with old mends; ownership signature on front flyleaf and circular blind-embossed ownership imprint on page xix (close of Waley introduction); text block moderately age toned. A tight and nice reprint edition of this anonymous erotic novel written around 1600 whose title translates loosely as "The Plum in the Golden Vase" or "The Golden Lotus." Single-volume edition, though this publisher also published a 2-volume version in 1940. N° de ref. de la librería 39200
