Review: «Mme Chicoteau has written a most beguiling biography...the style, ironic, amused yet scholarly, carries one effortlessly along...both Rosalie and Mme Chicoteau have an eye for just those quirks that bring a scene to life.» (The Tablet)
«The work is patiently researched, carefully and interestingly wirtten with touches of delightful humour.» (Aumla)
