Toronto, The Linscott Publishing Company, 1898-1900, bound in publisher?s blue buckram with gilt and black stamped decorations and lettering on front boards and spines, all edges gilted, about 11 X 9 ½ inches (except Index), 540 (one folding map), 564, 525 (one colored map), 544 (two colored maps), 542 (16 colored maps on 8 pages), 556 pages and 188 pages (index). The six volumes are illustrated in B&W + colored maps. All books are in GOOD+ condition, all complete, clean and solidly bound showing some wear to extremities (see images). Interiors are in very good condition or better, all clean and tight showing a few discreet library stamps, a light tanning to pages and sometimes a few small scratches to last endpapers after I removed the library paper pockets. The Index is in good condition BUT the lower part of the back board is creased (see image). Overall a respectable set.
