Descripción:

A magnificent book with some of the most beautiful hand-coloured plates to be seen in the natural history books of this type and period: but then, the subject matter probably helps in that. This copy is in half leather with marbled paper boards. The leather over the front hinge has cracked but a competent amateur repair on the inside of the hinge has made for a very solid book again. There are a few foxing spots on the prelims but otherwise the interior is clean and bright. 42 coloured plates plus a coloured title page. Size: Quarto. Category: Natural History & Resources; Pictures of this item not already displayed here available upon request. N° de ref. de la librería 55815
