Richmond, Virginia: Reynolds Metal Company, 1959. Hardcover. Reynolds Metal Company. Spiral-bound oblong octavo, reflective silver paper covered card boards, 48 pages. Complete with original mailer. The world's third largest aluminum and packaging company, Reynolds Metal Company started as a familial subsidiary of sorts to the Reynolds Tobacco Company, providing the foil necessary to house cigarettes in packages. One of the few companies to prosper during the Great Depression, the Reynolds Metal Company furthered its success throughout World War II, supplying much of the material needed for airplanes and other aluminum-based materials; as successful as they had been since their inception, nothing compared to the post-war demand for aluminum in the booming housing market. For sale is this vintage 1959 Reynolds Metal Company advertisement extolling the virtues and ease of building with aluminum. Uncommon. Condition notes: Very good. This oblong advert, measuring 14&1/4 inches by 9 inches, is spiral-bound with reflective silver paper covered card boards. The original mailer shows sustained wear, while the book itself is in very good condition, with only some light bumping and edge wear - all in all this one of a kind advert for the Reynolds Metal Company is in very good condition, recalling those halcyon days in the construction market when aluminum was king.
