This first edition was issued in just 500 copies. The top of the spine of this copy is a little frayed and the boards are worn and marked with bumped corners. Someone has pasted in relevant press clippings to the endpapers. The front endpaper is a little loose but not detached as a result. Category: Military & Warfare; Pictures of this item not already displayed here available upon request. N° de ref. de la librería 55296

Descripción George Bell and Sons: London, 1888. Hardcover. Condición: Fair. 1st Edition. Red cloth with gilt crest on front board.623 +2 PP Condition leaves much to be desired as the backstrip of the spine is damaged and the top half missing. The front hinge has cracked and the early pages prior to the title page have loosened. There are early newspaper cuttings which have been pasted on these early pages and this no doubt contributed to this separation. Please see images. Front board still attached and the rear is also secure, however this wonderful old book from a limited edition of 500 I believe, could certainly use some attention.Happy to answer questions or supply more images.
