An awesome novel by one of the members of The Holy Trinity. Macdonald(Ken Millar) resides in the firmament along with Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett. In this book has Lew Archer trying to recover a stolen painting, but along the way he has to deal with a murder and a familial war. Book is in Fine condition. Spine is straight and there are no marks or bumps to boards. Decorative yellow stain along the top of the text block. First Edition, First Printing. Alfred A. Knopf. 1976. DJ is in VG condition and mylar-protected. No tears, but light chipping to three of four corners. Small wrinkle starting by top of spine and about 3/4" long across the front of DJ. Chip and wrinkle at top of spine. Pinhead-sized chip at top-center of rear DJ. Some soiling to DJ, but still very bright white and colors are vivid. $7.95 issue price is present.
