A near fine copy in a near fine, mylar protected DJ. A great association copy that is inscribed "To James Gibbs With Friendship" and signed by the author in 1974. Professor James L. Gibbs, Jr. chaired the African and African American Studies Founding Committee at Stanford University in 1968 and was Stanford s first tenured African American professor. He served Stanford University s community for thirty years before retiring in January of 1997. The book is also signed by Dr. Gibbs on the front end paper.
