Descripción nry Hunter Blair, Alnwick, 1912. Cloth Bound. Estado de conservación: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. First edition, first issue, with signed letter from the author. Good, comprehensive account. The signed letter is to Mr J. H. Craw, who has signed the book in 1922. Also inserted is a signed letter from John Crawford Hodgson, whose old armorial bookplate is on the front end paper, addressed to Mr Craw. There is also a newspaper cutting from the Newcastle Journal of 1922, concerning unusually large numbers of waxwings in the north, a review of the book from the Berwick Advertiser of 1912 and a cutting of 1914 concerning a legal claim made by the book's printer against the author. 726 pages. Illustrated title page and 27 other illustrations (all checked and present). The pictorial binding is in good, tight condition, though much of the title wording has faded from the spine.
