Page edges are browned but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Jacket has edge wear with some creasing and chipping to the bottom edge of the front panel with a small piece missing at the centre and a quarter inch piece missing from the bottom right corner. The jacket has been repaired with tape to the reverse in this area and also at the top of the spine where there are two one inch long closed tears. Rear panel is slightly discoloured. First printing. Light bumping to spine ends, but a near fine copy in a very good dust jacket with light edgewear, most noticeable at folds and spine ends. First edition. Norman Collins [1907-1982] was the author of sixteen books (the best known being London Belongs To Me (1945)) and two plays, but is now best known for his central role in the founding of independent television in the UK.
