Descripción:

Author. Two pages, 4to, bottom portion torn off with minimal loss, spike-hole, hole in conjoint blank leaf (blank save address), discoloured but text readable. "I received yours of the 27th ulto respecting the Sale of the S[?] Hill Books on Saturday next, & soon afterwards I received a Copy of the Sale Catalogue. / Today I am favour'd with yours of the 28th ulto but with the postmark of yesterday./ Be so good as to [w]ithdraw the large Paper Copy of the Description of 1774 - for I should not like to sacrifice it to the lowest bidder - nor to suffer the Commission on an unsatisfactory offer.-/ With respect to the other articles I wde[sic] be obliged to you to put such Prices upon them as you think they may reasonably be expected to produce & such as you think Minimum at which they should be sold./ When the Sale is effected you can receive the money & keep it to my acct./ Do not omit to withdraw the large Paper Description of 1774 for I would not consent to part with it upon bad Terms - it is a great Rarity & with the Exception of an another [sic] Copy in my Possession the only uncut Copy in Existence.
