Audition Success chronicles the story of two musicians as they learn how to prepare for important auditions, employing the same techniques and strategies used by top athletes to perform well under extreme pressure. It is based on the artists' transcribed conversations with Dr. Don Greene during an intensive two month training period.
About the Author:
Don Greene, Ph.D., was the Sports Psychologist for the U.S. Olympic Diving Team which included medalists Greg Louganis and Michele Mitchell. He also served on the staff of the World Championship Swimming Team, Golf Digest and the Vail Ski School. Dr. Greene now specializes in teaching performing artists how to perform well under extreme stress.
Dr. Greene has worked with singers and instrumentalists at the Metropolitan Opera, the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Lyric Opera, the Houston Symphony, the St. Louis Symphony and the Lake George Opera Festival, and his clients have won numerous auditions and competitions. Now based in Manhattan, he counsels individual artists and teachers at The Juilliard School, Opera Works and the New World Symphony.
