Slightly discoloured brown boards; four leather front corners scuffed and rubbed as is the leather spine, with 1 cm loss to one of its five raised bands; faded gilt decoration and lettering; hinges cracked but secure. Marbled texy block edges. Internally marbled endpapers; 22 cm x 7 cm water mark on engraved portrait frontis and grubby title page to vol 1 part 2; remaining contents mostly clean and unmarked. Pp, xiv, 1-344. Part 2 vol 1 has its own title page. Portrait frontis, map, 20 plates and 17 pedigrees (Welby pedigree damaged and repaired). Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
