534 pages plus errata plus "Corrections Regarding France." Missing the map of the Southern states. Otherwise complete WITH the fold-out Map of the Northern and Middle States Comprehendiing the Western Territory and the British Dominions in North America. Most copies lack both maps. Bound in what we believe to be the original brown leather with five gilt rules on the spine and gilt decorative rules and lettering on a red leather label. A quarter inch at the spine's foot and crown have been professionally restored to match perfectly. The corners are bumped, and the sides show minor wear. Despite these minor flaws, the covers are quite handsome. The original endpapers are darkened on the edges as an offset from the leather. The front free endpaper bears the following from the original owner: "William Duncan ./ Book 1789." The pages are age-toned. The map has about five dime-sized spots of foxing. Separations at three of the folds have been expertly mended from the rear with no loss. Images are available on request. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. N° de ref. de la librería 005263

We are proud to stock more than 20,000 hardback rare, scarce, and out-of-print books on all subjects and 3500 lithographed or engraved antiquarian maps and prints from the 16th century to present, displayed in six charming, clean, well-lit showrooms. All very selectively acquired to serve readers, collectors, scholars, and institutions worldwide who cherish material of inherent and lasting interest and value, on all subjects. Binding, repair, appraisals, and searches offered. About two miles west of Longwood Gardens, near Winterthur, and the Brandywine Museum. One of "the best booksellers I have come into contact with."
