Sobre este título:

Sinopsis: My novel, America the Beautiful, follows in the footsteps of such novels turned into movies, as The Manchurian Candidate, Three Days of the Condor, Seven Days in May, All the President’s Men, and the movie JFK. These examples give you an idea of what to expect from this suspense filled political thriller.

America the Beautiful is a fictional story based on the true account of the government’s almost forty-year cover-up concerning the John F. Kennedy assassination. The reader discovers how the government shielded their part in the murder of our thirty-fifth President of the United States. From the fictional characters’ point of view, the reader discovers how our government continues to hide behind national security.

The book exposes the many theories and tests them through a fictional investigation of the truth. The truth of not only what happened on November 22, 1963, but what followed for over thirty years. It continues with President Clinton’s knowledge that there is a continued government cover-up. A cover-up he had to obey to secure his place as the forty-second President of the United States. This epic novel is a result of thirty-five years of personal investigation and research.

What the reader is introduced to is a Hitchcockian thriller, a story told against a historical background, providing new evidence into the most shocking and controversial crime of the Twentieth Century. In the end it will challenge the reader, especially the new generation of young people, to seek the real truth of this terrible tragedy.

This is a fictional story with a historical background. A group of young people discovers in 1988 evidence that Lee Harvey Oswald did not kill President John F. Kennedy on that fateful day in Dallas, Texas. A young law firm finds their lives entangled with those who are on the same course of discovery, each one holding a key to the puzzle and how they came together to solve the greatest crime of the century.

About the Author: John Anthony Gaetano, was an active member of the Screen Actors Guild of America from 1977 through 1988. A serious student of Alfred Hitchcock, Frank Capra and Howard Hawks, John came to Hollywood. He has appeared as an extra, bit-player, and supporting player in such motion pictures as Coming Home, The Good-by Girl, Grease, Meteor, The Swarm, The Muppet Movie, All Night Long, The Competition, Annie, Flashdance, and Beverly Hills Cop II.

John has appeared in Sidney Poitier's Stir Crazy, and Richard Brooks' Wrong is Right. He was not only an actor, but also a stuntman in Steven Spielberg's 1941. His contributions in television include M*A*S*H, The Rockford Files, Police Story, Columbo, Kojak, Battlestar Galactica, Beyond West World, Lou Grant, Hunter, Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, Nightcourt, Friendly Fire, and Masada.

John initially came to Hollywood to work on Hitchcock's last work in progress, A Short Night. In 1976, on the set of Silent Movie, Marty Feldman met John and became a lifelong friend and it was Marty who inspired John to write his first script, which evolved into Pawns.

In 1977 while working on Coming Home, another friendship grew, this time between John and Hal Ashby, the director. It was Hal Ashby who convinced John to produce a 16mm demo film in Seattle, Washington. This thirty-minute film, based on John's script Delusions, was made in 1982.

The following two years, John wrote, produced, and directed another promotional film, Pawns. John is now completing preparations to turn Pawns into a feature length film, and is working on a mini-series called One Deadly Winter.
