Amaryllis of Hawaii is all about a girl who was so taken by th beauty and the culture and the graciousness of the people of Hawaii that she wanted to give something back. She expressed herself by writing, drawing, and painting, cooking, sewing, gardening, and learning all about the Hawaiian arts. She refused to let her dream go, and was determined to use all her talents. Her father taught her to use her ingenuity, and her mother taught her to use her intuition, and so the adventure begins...About the Author:
I fell in love with Hawaii over thirty years ago. The people make it so special to me. As a registered nurse I traveled to Oahu, Molokai, Kauai, Maui, and th Big Island and also spent two and a half years working in Hana, Maui caring for the local Hawaiians and tourist population. I dedicated this book to the people of Hana who taught me the meaning of the Aloha spirit.
