Loose unnumbered sheets variously dated 1944-45, bound inside ms titled tan printed HQ 216 Group Navigation Branch covers 23x30cm. Covers good, contents generally very good. 216 Group was part of the Transport Command, headquartered at Cairo West during 1942-45. Its Air Route Books were assembled to help pilots execute specifically defined flights vital to fronts in all theatres of war. Compiled as and when required and marked confidential, they were to be destroyed in the event of forced landing in enemy or neutral territory, and returned to the briefing officer on completion of flight. The 18 airfield profiles are presented in alphabetical order with colour maps, b/w aerial views, general information and radio aids (2pp each). These include: Belgium (Brussels / Evere, Brussels / Melsbroek, Nivelles); Denmark (Copenhagen / Kastrup); France (Bordeaux Merignac, Bron, Dijon, Istres / Le Tube, Le Bourget, Lille / Vendeville, Marignane, Orly, Rennes, Toulouse / Blagnac, Marignane, Villacoublay); Germany (Gatow / Kladow, Luneburg). Also included is Alternative and Diversionary Airfields - Continental (folding). Also laid in loosely is an unusued Customs Declaration form. N° de ref. del artículo 5032
