"I grew up in a Montana town I thought I had no consequence and I wanted out. I could winter okay--it was all I had ever felt, the gray northwestern skies--but I had had enough of family and boxing groceries. I wnet on my own outside circle, never appreciating the nature of circles and how they bring you back." (Kurt Marcus) The book is a moving testimony to the West and its cowboys. Previous owner's sticker on title page with gift inscription. Small black spots on front cover. Edewear and rubbing. Pages are tight and clean. A very good copy. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Acerca de

When Mapplethorpe was asked what he does with himself when he poses for the camera, he replies that he tries to find that part of himself that is self-confident. CERTAIN PEOPLE are, mostly, people found coaxed, or arranged into a certainty about themselves. This is what seduces, that is what is disclosed in the bulletins of a great photographer's observations and encounters.
