Acerca de

Biografía del autor:

Chris was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on October 16, 1948. Immigrating to the United States in 1949 with her French Canadian parents at the age of one Chris is a true example of the struggle and the achievement of women workers in the twentieth century labor union movement. After arriving in Chicago with her family, Chris had to overcome the language barrier, and the process of assimilation into the English speaking education system. Because of her life choices and the political and social leanings of her family she found herself continually confronted with issues of social injustice in the United States. She is the oldest of six daughters to Helene and Raymond. Chris graduated from Harrison Technical high school in 1967 and pursued some college classes later in life. She is self taught in all endeavors. (Chris is one of the first females in Chicago, Illinois to break into the male dominated trade of Construction Carpentry.) Chris owned several businesses and became a union carpenter in 1979. She was the first woman hired by the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters (CRCC) as a Trainer/Instructor in 1987. Chris has assisted in developing curriculum booklets that have been printed and used throughout all ten CRCC Apprentice and Training Programs. Her writing skills have been mainly with technical carpentry books. Her first book published in 2007 is called "An Angel for You: My Life in Poems, Verses and Short Stories." This is her first biographical book which includes what she has found to be the plan for all Americans, a New World Order as defined by the global elitist of the 21st Century.
