Green card dust jacket with green and black lettering to spine and front. Dj is in a good condition albeit with some mild creasing to the edges. A little grubby. Not priceclipped. Five volumes (568, 541, 559, 568 and 600 pages, many maps (some folding) , illustrations, former owner's notations on front blank endpapers otherwise very good, tight and clean set. Volumes 2, 3 and 4 include maps in pockets at the rear of each volume. The dust jacket of volume II is chipped with some loss to the bottom of the dust jacket spine, the other dust jackets are complete. All jackets now protected with Brodart. Volume 1 has the corrections page as well as the corrected page 386 "Battle for Singapore Island". Volume IV has the corrections page. Volumes 1 & 2 are second impressions, Volume 3, 4 and 5 are first editions. A truly impressive and detailed set, weighing about seventeen pounds. From the dust jacket of Volume 5: "This volume, the fifth and last on the War against Japan, is based as before on British, American and Japanese records. It covers the period in South-East Asia from the capture of Rangoon and in the Pacific from the opening of the assault on Okinawa to November 1946 when South-East Asia Command was disbanded.".
