Sinopsis

Though transparency and clarity are essential for the advance of any discipline, economics is often bogged down both on the side of the reader and writer. Like clots in the bloodstream, communication blockages can act to stall and divert economic understanding. Consequently, economists who fail to effectively communicate with one another will be unlikely to speak clearly to the general public. This volume examines four methods that tend to block (or obfuscate) vital flows of communication.

Acerca del autor

Craig Freedman in an earlier life failed to achieve success as a tap-dancing mime. With nothing better to hope for he turned to a career as an academic economist. He was formerly at the University of New South Wales, Middlebury College, the University of Cape Town and other places not worth mentioning. He is the author of maybe a dozen books and more articles than he cares to remember. He regrets not writing Middlemarch, War and Peace, or Pride and Prejudice, but is determined to try harder in the future.
