In Isaac Asimov''s Robot/Empire/Foundation series of novels, the Galactic Empire is an empire consisting of millions of planets settled by humans across the whole Milky Way Galaxy. Its symbol is the Spaceship and Sun logo. Asimov created the Galactic Empire in the 1940s based upon the Roman Empire, as a proposal to John W.
