In a bar on the border between France and Spain, a cornered man thinks of the explanation he will give to the assassins who have come looking for him. "How did I get involved with this mission?" asks Jacques Munoz, without the "n," the son of an immigrant whose father was determined that his son forget his native tongue. Marcos Eymar (Madrid, 1979) lives in Paris, where he works as a professor at the University of Orleans and codirects a literary workshop at the Cervantes Institute. His first book, "Objetos Encontrados," was named one of the best narrative books of 2007 by the cultural supplement "Babelia" of the Spanish newspaper "El Pais." He has won, among other prizes, Premio Tiflos in the story category, Los Nuevos de Alfaguara, the Isabel de Espana in narrative, and the III Certamen de Textos Teatrales from the Carlos III University. In France he published the essay "La Langue Plurielle" in 2011. That same year his novel "Hendaya" won the XVI Mario Vargas Llosa prize in the novel category given by the University of Murcia.
