Holly was born in 1978 on September 5th, her parents' first child. For some reason it never occurred to them to think up a name for their new baby, so she was quickly named after the hospital she was born in- Hollywood Presbyterian. Though she grew up the daughter of a parental team of pornographers, she had the typically normal childhood filled with horses, books, and yes, photography. Holly took her first photography course at the age of 12, and the moment the print developed before her eyes in the tray she was hooked. A short while after she ..... Introduction by Larry Flint: I've known Holly Randall since she was wearing diapers. Back then her mother, Suze Randall, was one of my premier photographers. Working at a studio she'd built at her house, Suze would frequently have her newborn baby in a playpen as she shot the latest hot star for HUSTLER. So I'm tempted to say, regarding Holly, that a seed was planted. But that's too easy, and it simply misses the mark. Holly is completely her own person, and she came to photography through her own path even if the seed was planted early. Consider this: Holly started taking photography classes at the age of 12, winning awards for her efforts while still in her teens. Upon graduating high school, she entered college to pursue an English degree, then dropped out to attend the Brooks Institute of Photography. Standing on the sidelines, I watched as she grew into a beautiful, intelligent and creative young woman. When her mother started Suze.net, Holly was there, ready to help. And it didn't take long for her to attract my attention. The quality of her photography was phenomenal-every bit as good as her mother's. And she was still just at the beginning of her career. Soon enough, I was buying her sets for HUSTLER. It's a gift that few photographers have: the ability to capture the warmth, sexuality and intensity of a beautiful woman in her prime. It takes more than pressing the button on a high-end camera to get the right moment, that special light, the correct angle and, most importantly, the inner essence of the model. The photographer, if he or she is good, must actually read the model's mind and touch her emotions. It's this ability that makes Holly a standout in her field. Holly has more than proven herself over the past 11 years, selling to magazines like HUSTLER, directing and producing Suze's DVD line, not to mention shooting most of the content for Suze.net. And, as if all that wasn't enough, Holly even found time to return to college, earning a degree in world literature. One could easily argue that it is this multi-dimensionality that gives her the edge as a photographer. Most recently the second-generation photographer has launched her own Web site, HollyRandall.com, even as she continues working with her mom. One can only wonder what the future holds for such a groundbreaking young artist. Holly's journey has just begun, yet as this book proves, her work is already prodigious.
