»Dimensions. Journal of Architectural Knowledge« is an academic journal in, on, and from the discipline of architecture, addressing the creation, constitution, and transmission of architectural knowledge. Processes, procedures, and results of knowledge creation and practice are esteemed coequally, with particular attention to the architectural design and epistemologies of aesthetic practice and research.

Acerca del autor

Sandra Meireis (Dr.-Ing.) ist Architekturwissenschaftlerin und Autorin. Sie lebt in Berlin und lehrt seit 2010 Architekturgeschichte und -theorie an verschiedenen Hochschulen: Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart, Universität Stuttgart, Technische Universität Berlin, Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart und Universität Kassel. Sie promovierte sich am Lehrstuhl für Architekturtheorie der TU Berlin (2020) und vertrat zuletzt die Professur für Architektur- und Designgeschichte/Architekturtheorie an der Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart (2021-23). In ihren Forschungen, Publikationen und Vorträgen konzentriert sie sich auf die Geschichte und Theorie der Architektur und des Städtebaus, mit Themen an Schnittstellen zur Kulturwissenschaft, Politik und Ästhetik. Julian Franke, geb. 1991, ist als Architekt sowie wissenschaftlicher Assistent am Kompetenzzentrum Typologie & Planung an der Hochschule Luzern tätig. Er studierte Architektur in Münster und Berlin sowie Philosophie in Berlin und Cork. Neben der Entwicklung innovativer Wohnformen liegt sein Fokus auf Themen an der Schnittstelle von Architekturphilosophie, Anthropologie, Bildtheorie und Ästhetik.
