Of all the basically available transaction mechanisms that can be used for the vibration-to-energy conversion, piezoelectric transducer has received the most attention in the literature. Due to their high power densities and ease of application, the Piezoelectric materials are preferred for energy harvesting.

About the Author:

Indresh Kumar Verma obtained his Masters of Design in Electronic Systems from IIITD&M Kancheepuram. Thereafter he is currently working with Chhatrapati Shivaji Institute of Technology as Asst. Prof. in Electronics & Instrumentation Deptt. The author has keen interests in Energy Harvesting Techniques, Design of Labview based system.
