To achieve this objective, the study employs a qualitative research method. In trying to obtain the necessary data from concerned parties both primary and secondary sources were used. When it comes to the conceptual framework for the analysis, this study employed Dennis Sandole¿s good three pillar approach, in mapping out the causes of conflict in Moyale area, and also assess the traditional ways of conflict resolution for future intervention strategies. The study analyzed the major causes of conflict situation at Moyale area of Ethiopia-Kenya cross border areas.
