I started writing a sales adaptation of The Art of War (see The Art of Sales) using the existing English translations on the market, but I found those translations confusing and often conflicting. I went back to the original Chinese characters of The Art of War. In doing so, I discovered an interesting and vital work not available in English. Many shades of meaning existed in each Chinese phrase. I wanted to give my readers the same access to the original Sun Tzu without having to do their own character-by-character translations.
