Born in Osaka, Japan, Emi Iwakiri began her career in fashion as a stylist for magazines following her graduation from art college. In 1996 she established Wonderful Company after a period spent travelling, specializing in handcrafted jewellery and accessories. Three years later the sister brand Car*g*mon was created with the ethos 'stay young at heart and love creating your own handcrafted world'. Emi sells her stunning products at some of the leading department stores in Japan and regularly appears on television discussing creative fashion design.
