Alan Moore’s Miracleman predated Watchmen and Dark Knight as the first of the grim, ultra-realistic strips that changed super-hero comics forever. But whatever happened to Miracleman? For the first time, this trade paperback tells all the behind-the-scenes secrets, from the character’s start as the British strip Marvelman, to the legal and creative hurdles during its 24-issue run at Eclipse Comics, and why you never saw the final Neil Gaiman-scripted issue! Sporting a Mark Buckingham cover and an introduction and back cover by Alex Ross, this book features in-depth interviews with Alan Moore, John Totleben, Neil Gaiman, Mark Buckingham, Barry Windsor-Smith, Beau Smith, Cat Yronwode, Rick Veitch, and others! Plus there’s an amazing assortment of unpublished art, uninked pencils, sketches, and concept drawings (including unseen art from the never-published issue #25) by Totleben, Windsor-Smith, Buckingham, Mike Deodato, Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, and more! Special Bonus: a never-published 8-page Moore/Totleben story, "Lux Brevis", and an unused Moore script!

"George Khoury's Kimota! The Miracleman Companion ably documents the home-grown hero's erratic adventures, both fictional and commercial, and interviews the writers and artists responsible for the character's intermittent crime-fighting career, among them Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman." - David Thompson, The Guardian
"KIMOTA! THE MIRACLEMAN COMPANION is a pretty timely book. Released by TwoMorrows Publishing just a couple of weeks ago, author George Khoury provides the most extensive resource for Miracleman lovers that one could ever ask for. He interviews just about everyone ever involved in the series, including Mick Anglo, Alan Moore, Dez Skinn, Alan Davis, Rick Veitch, Chuck Austen, Barry Windsor-Smith (just because he drew a couple of covers), Beau Smith, cat yronwode, Neil Gaiman, Mark Buckingham, and more. You also get the complete Alan Moore script for the first Marvelman story (complete with finished art), a cover gallery, sketch galleries, bibliography, a complete unpublished Moore/Totleben science fiction story, some pages from the unpublished Gaiman/Buckingham issue, and Moore's original Marvelman proposal." Augie De Blieck Jr., Comic Book Resources
"This superb book could also be titled 'Everything you wanted to know about Miracleman, but were afraid to ask'. It's not just the definitive story of Marvelman/Miracleman through the years, it's a discussion on how comics operated in the late-eighties/early-nineties, it's a treatise on one character inspiring a dozen creators, it's the inside scoop on how Alan Moore's mind works, and it's a lecture on the complexity of copyright laws, especially when you look at them from an international perspective." Craig Lemon, Comics Bulletin.
"The 143-page book surveys Miracleman's particularly tortured publishing history, one strewn with impressive names and interesting personalities. It does so with a compounded agenda of its own, in that it appeals to the fan while attempting to touch bottom of an enduring moral and legal morass." Rich Kreiner, The Comics Journal #252
"I highly recommend the book Kimota! The Miracleman Companion, by George Khoury (TwoMorrows, 2001) for its extensive series of interviews and commentary on not only Miracleman's rights issues but also the series' history and creators." - John DiBello, 13th Dimension
