The Khalili Collection contains the largest range of Qur'anic material in private hands. The Qur'ans in this collection are described and illustrated in four volumes, of which this is the first; it covers the 8th to the 10th centuries. The Khalili Collection is the greatest collection of Islamic art in private hands; it is continuing to grow and improve.
