The laminated hardcover is called a 'Glossie'. The book's cover is clean inside and out. A page before the title page has been removed before the title page. I suspect this was probably done to eliminate any inscription or scribbling, something I have encountered in the past. More titles were published when this popularity was recognized. 'uniform in the series', but during World War II, productions were limited due to paper and labour shortages.
