This book traces the life and work of Kenneth Webb, still working hard at seventy-five, one of the foremost contemporary painters in Europe. Best known in Ireland, his evocative paintings of the Connemara landscape, that intimate landscape of wild flowers, rocks, bog pools and whispering grass, ever-changing and full of colour, have all the mystery and sensuality of this magic place. Many other subjects have come under his fluent brush, many techniques and many moods, but there is never a question of mistaken identity. Webb has had exhibitions in London, Manchester, Bristol, Suffolk, Dublin, Galway, Cork, Belfast, Washington, New York, Toronto, Nairobi, Geneva, Jersey and commissions have been taken from all over the world. He has work in important public and private collections in over a dozen countries.
