The earliest record of a shipwreck on this coast is on a Roman tablet and over the last 2000 years there have been countless more, including some particularly tragic or spectacular wrecks. This book charts the known records of such calamities between Barmouth, around the Anglesey coast to Liverpool Bay. It includes the loss of HMS Conway, the submarine HMS Thetis and the worlds first submarine, Resurgam, which lies off Rhyl, waiting to be lifted if a Heritage lottery bid is sucessful.
