As Luke and his sister Jenny resume their summer vacation their mother plans a stop at the historic town of Lincoln, New Mexico. But when a thunderstorm begins to brew Luke and Jenny realize things aren't what they seem. Suddenly ther are swept back in time and find themselves face-to-face with the notorious Billy the Kid. The ghost of Paul, a young buffalo soldier who lived over a century ago, guides them on their journey as they experience the life and times of this mysterious young outlaw. Gayle has always had a passion for writing. In 2005 she wrote and self-published her first book, Anna's Kitchen: a Compilation of WWII Ration Recipes That You Can Create in Your Kitchen Today. Her first published novel, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral: Luke and Jenny Visit Tombstone, was released in 2006, followed by the second book in the series, Billy the Kid and the Lincoln County War: a Luke and Jenny Adventure, in 2007.Gayle was a featured author at the 2007 Hollywood Book Festival in Hollywood, California, where her book Gunfight at the O.K. Corral: Luke and Jenny Visit Tombstone was an Honorable Mention. Another book, Billy the Kid and the Lincoln County War: a Luke and Jenny Adventure, was named as a Finalist in the 2007 Indie Book Awards of Excellence.Today Gayle continues to speak and write. She is currently working on the third installment of her Luke and Jenny series of historical adventures for young readers.
