4Occupational therapy is embracing new technology and interventions in an effort to better facilitate occupational performance in clients. With the advent of technological advances and the expanded role of the occupational therapist, Dr Bracciano has written a text specifically for the use of physical agent modalities in occupational therapy. It teaches the proper use and application of physical agent modalities in the occupational therapy treatment process. Each chapter in the text includes learning objectives, new technology, basic principles, biophysical principles of the agent, clinical indications and aplpications, clinical decision-making and review questions.
