More Than a Single Story - Tapa blanda

“The single story creates stereotypes, and the problem with stereotypes is not that they are untrue, but that they are incomplete. They make one story become the only story.” –Chimamanda Adichie, The Dangers of a Single Story Chimamanda Adichie is an influential writer and speaker. Her stories broach a broad range of themes including identity, immigration, culture, and interpersonal relationships. In this project, the 8th Year students at The Montessori School of Raleigh examined Adichie’s masterful techniques in Adichie’s “A Private Experience.” They used her narrative structure to craft an anthology of vivid, engaging stories designed to challenge stereotypes they personally encounter.
