Compassion - Tapa blanda

Gregory Scott is a British teacher who works for a NGO and goes to Brazil to teach English, moved by altruistic and romantic reasons. He is assigned to a school situated on the shores of a main tributary of the Amazon River where he cannot help getting emotionally involved in the quotidian struggles of its pupils. A tough time awaits him when he intends to find out what is behind a dreadful threat to the young. The Amazonia is the magnificent setting of this story of courage, torrid love affairs and grief.

Paul Helmfelt teaches English at the Language Institute of the Universidad Distrital in Bogotá, Colombia. Artistic director of the BOG’s Players, he is also the author of several stage adaptations and the short story "Looking for Clara, a Mediterranean Mystery Tale".
