In the 42,000 words in Nyala font in the 235 pages of Twisted Dreams, Twisted Streams, the author delivers anxiety, frustration, and sympathy for the characters in the ten stories, and novelette. Frederick D Brown, author of the collection, uses those elements to rouse the reader. Most villains are seen, a few, unseen. True to life is the greed for money, power and love. The stories, in appearance in the book are: MageCon The Midas Machine Chimes Dark Hunting Illusions and Lies Pale Visitor Penance The Ghost in the Coffee Shop The Dark at the End of the Alley Tough Love Vampires Hour: a novelette The author of Twisted Dreams, Twisted Streams describes the collection: I once imagined an image of a woman surrounded by writhing shadows and used that image as the basis for the story, “The Dark at the End of the Alley.” Or when in the midst of a science fiction/fantasy convention, I wondered if the fun and games could be a cover for a darker meeting and the story became, “MageCon.” Another time I asked myself what vampires do if they ever went on a retreat, and proceeded to write “Vampire Hours.” Author, K. Wodke, co-author of BETRAYED, describes Twisted Dreams, Twisted Streams: In this dark collection of short stories, there is something for every fan of the macabre.
