Joseph Campbell and other prominent scholars have written convincingly of their belief that the ancient Chinese visited both North and South America, beginning centuries before the voyages of Columbus. Abundant archaeological evidence supports their claim. In this fast-paced romantic-adventure, two American scientists survive a helicopter crash atop a South American jungle mesa, where they discover a 500-year-old Chinese colony hidden in a deep valley. As the scientists puzzle out the mystery of the all-female society, a strangely beautiful warrior named K'un-Chien (Earth-Heaven) entangles the pair in an erotic triad that could heal their souls or end their lives. “An unexpected, deftly written erotic charge… Canter masterfully allows the scientific exposition to flow naturally in the narrative; like books from Michael Crichton and James Rollins, the story is both informative and exciting… suspense holds until the very last page.” -- Kirkus Reviews THIS NOVEL HAS BEEN PUBLISHED IN 4 LANGUAGES.

Mark Canter was raised in Kentucky hill country in a metropolis of 400 tobacco and hog farmers, where he belonged to the only Jewish family in the cosmos. In his dharma-bum youth, he hitchhiked and jumped trains across the Western States and Canada and went through jobs from pizza chef to surgical orderly, massage therapist to rock-show stagehand. After getting a journalism degree, he wrote for a few Florida newspapers before landing the senior editor post at Men’s Health magazine. His non-fiction writing also has appeared in The Baltimore Sun, San Francisco Chronicle, Denver Post, Miami Herald, St. Petersburg Times, Yoga Journal, Shambhala Sun, Writer’s Digest and other periodicals. His short stories have been published nationally and his debut novel, Ember from the Sun, was published in 10 languages. His second novel, Down to Heaven, was published in four.
