The "Gapology Workbook" is an extension of the learning gained through reading the book “Gapology: How Winning Leaders Close Performance Gaps." The exercises and questions laid out in this tool will open your eyes to the Performance Gaps you experience in your organization. It takes the elements from the book and brings everything to life. Be prepared to examine gaps in the real world, the ones that your team members own...and the ones that you own as well. Your paradigm will shift in this journey. You will start seeing your team’s behaviors and results in a whole new way. Even outside of work, as you shop at retail stores, eat in restaurants, or travel through airports, you begin to ask yourself, “What type of gap was that?” almost immediately. The revelations will be invigorating, motivating and somewhat humbling. In the end, however, the revelations will change your world...and your results!Biografía del autor:
Mark Thienes' experiential journey encompasses more than 30 years of success in leading teams to winning seasons. He proudly refers to himself as “The Original Gapologist,” and is the founder of the Gapology Institute. Mark has been influenced by great authors like Peter Senge, Chris Argyris, Noel Tichy and David Kolb. Senge wrote about human behavior and creating shared vision in teams, Argyris pioneered the concept of action science, Tichy is a famed leadership consultant and Kolb researched adult and experiential learning. They have had a major impact on his leadership philosophies, but his personal passion is developing winning leaders by spreading the wisdom of other winning leaders. His first and favorite question for winning leaders is, “How did you do that?” He loves to hear of the thought process and the strategies they develop to win. Gapology is about creating winning leaders.
