Circumference of Me is the result of two lifetimes of work—one in mainly rural settings, the other in The No. 1 World City, New York. The diverse backgrounds of the authors solidified their belief that “management is management” regardless of setting, educational background, or number of co-workers. Great managers are in every profession, from the largest of companies, to the smallest of non-profit associations, from the smallest of school districts to metropolitan student-cities. The diverse paths taken that led to the writing of Circumference of Me emphasize the importance of business mentors and corporate devils, and the important lessons each handed down in the daily exercise of duties. Acerca del autor
Steve Burnett, president of the Burnett Group—a management, brand, and communications consulting company in New York City—is a professor of communications design at the Pratt Institute. His company’s clients are Who’s Who of global brand names. He’s also an accomplished artist, and is creator of the “whimsy” style of art. George S. Smith, director of communications services for Topcon Positioning Systems, is a writer, columnist, former newspaper editor and publisher, community development consultant, and national motivational speaker. He has taught management courses at the college level and has been a certified online instructor in strategic management and critical thinking.
