The Snackman and His Son, is about a boy named Ali and his father, the neighborhood snackman. With Ali by his side, the snackman pushes an old snack cart down a street with beautiful homes. His call - "snacks, snacks, get your afternoon snacks" - is heard by the neighborhood children.On the snackman's route live three children whose lemon tree entices Ali. Although most of their lemons go to waste, the three children refuse to share them. Ali steals some lemons and then lies to his father about how he got them. With the stolen lemons, Ali and his father make lemon snow cones to sell from their cart. When the three children realize that Ali has stolen their lemons, things go sour.A sweet apology from Ali and a sprinkling of generosity from the three children closes this vendors and customers, rich and poor story, and makes for another round of lemon snow cones for everyone.
