Peter Harris As well as books for children, Peter Harris wrote scripts for children and adult comedy TV programmes. Initially an accountant, he decided that writing was much more fun! In The Night Pirates he has created one of the finest pirate stories a child could hope to read. Deborah Allwright Deborah Allwright has become a star of the picture book world since the publication of The Night Pirates. She has been shortlisted for the V&A Illustration Award, and illustrated the hugely successful She’ll be Coming Round the Mountain and the critically acclaimed Don’t Read this Book! Deborah is one of Egmont’s most celebrated and successful illustrators. She works in a studio in Islington, stopping only to attend designer clothes sales, and to do a spot of DJing at music festivals.
