Relax every nerve and muscle in your entire body, until you are perfectly lax and passive; the more deeply you relax the quicker you will receive benefit; do not be discouraged if at first you find this hard to do, you will accomplish it after a few trials. Now, beginning at the head, send your thoughts (not moving the lips) around the head through the brain, to the eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, chin, neck and throat, lungs, heart, liver, stomach, spine, bowels, bladder, hips, upper leg, knees, lower legs, ankles, feet and toes; here rest a few minutes.
Then beginning at the feet, go back to the head in the same way as you came down.
