Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book transports readers to Persia in the 19th century through the engaging story of a young man named Nurullah Khan. The author, clearly a keen observer of Persian society, paints a vivid picture of life in this fascinating land. We witness Nurullah's coming-of-age, from his upbringing in a family steeped in tradition to his experiences in a campaign against rebellious Baluch tribes. This book captures the richness of Persian culture, exploring traditional customs, feasts, and the intricate workings of the royal court. At the heart of the story lies Nurullah's pilgrimage to the sacred shrine of Imam Riza, a journey that reflects not only his personal spiritual awakening but also the deep religious beliefs of the Shia faith. This book offers a rare glimpse into a world largely unknown to Western readers, enriching our understanding of Persia's history and its complex tapestry of traditions, beliefs, and social dynamics.
