Excerpt from First Annual Report of the Board of Directors: Of the McKean and Elk Land and Improvement Company to the Stockholders
This exploration consisted chiefly in a geological survey, which implies a variety of operations in the field; the account of it in detail must be preceded by some closet work which has not yet been completed. The following, therefore, besides a brief description of the country, contains only a general summary of the work that has been done, and the general results which have been established by it in respect to the deposits of valuable minerals in the region examined.
