Excerpt from The Book of Koheleth, Commonly Called Ecclesiastes
Of the close connexion of the Book of Ecclesiastes with Greek thought is likely shortly to be presented in a more developed form by an able Continental scholar. We shall wait to see what new arguments will be adduced by that writer. But the intimation I have received on this point has made me indisposed prematurely to re-open a discussion, which for the present may be considered as closed.

Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book offers a detailed analysis of the complex philosophical precepts of the ancient Book of Koheleth, more commonly known as Ecclesiastes. The Book of Koheleth is a collection of insightful reflections on life's complexities and its often-elusive meaning. The author delves into the paradoxical nature of existence, exploring the themes of joy and sorrow, wisdom and folly, with thought-provoking observations that span the range of human experience. Originally part of the Jewish scriptural canon, the book has profoundly influenced Western thought and comparative philosophical and religious inquiry, serving as a catalyst for exploration into the nature of pessimism, the role of religion, and the enduring search for purpose in an unpredictable world. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
